TaxBloc is a trading name of MortgageBloc Limited ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and being transparent about how we use it. 2. What Data We Collect
Account data
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and payment details.
Bank connection data
When you connect a bank account via Open Banking, we access your transaction history to generate your CSV export. We do not store your bank credentials or retain your raw transaction data after export generation.
Usage data
We collect information about how you use TaxBloc, including pages visited, export history, and device/browser information.
Communication data
If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we retain records of that correspondence.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the TaxBloc service
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To send you service-related communications (e.g. export confirmations)

- Plaid Financial Ltd — our Open Banking provider, to facilitate bank connections
- Payment processors — to handle subscription payments securely
- Service providers — such as email and hosting providers, who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements
- Legal authorities — where required by law or to protect our legal rights
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and for up to 6 years after closure, in line with our legal and tax obligations. Transaction data used to generate exports is not retained after the export is delivered.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
